Welcome our new Town Clerk
We are excited to announce the hiring of Lois Elbert as the new full-time Town Clerk for the Town of Sims! Ms. Elbert was selected by the Board of Commissioners after a competitive interview process with multiple candidates. We look forward to working with her as a welcome addition to our team!
Please stop by Town Hall in the coming days and weeks to say hello, introduce yourselves to Ms. Elbert, and join us in welcoming her to our Sims community! She will be in the office Monday- Friday during our regular business hours. Please be patient with us as she will be in training over the next few weeks getting acclimated to our policies and procedures.
Sandra Boykin will continue to assist us part-time at the Town Hall, as needed. We are grateful for her continued service to our community.
Town Hall Closed- Monday, January 15
Town Hall will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2024 to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. We will reopen at 9am on Tuesday, January 16.
Any utility payments may still be made via mail, online at www.townofsimsnc.com [Utility Payments tab], or our drop-off boxes at Town Hall. One box is located to the left of the main entrance and the other is located at the bottom right corner of the drive-through window.

2024 Tax Administration Workshops
For those who cannot join us for the 2024 countywide revaluation public meeting scheduled for Thursday, January 11 at 6pm at the Sims Community Center, The Wilson County Tax Administration Office would like to invite the public to attend their one-on-one workshops being held throughout January at other locations. Holiday Message and Town Hall Hours

Tax Revaluation Public Meeting: January 11 at 6pm
The Wilson County Tax Administration would like to invite all Wilson County residents to join us for a 2024 countywide revaluation public meeting. During this meeting, the Tax Administration Office will be discussing the 2024 revaluation, the appraisal process, property tax relief programs, and other tax related items.

Blood Drive: January 3 at Sims Volunteer Fire Dept
The Sims Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a Blood Drive with the American Red Cross and co-sponsored by the Sims Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, 1:30pm - 5:45pm. Happy Thanksgiving- Town Hall Office Hours
Hello Residents and Business Owners! We would like to wish you all a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! We are grateful for each of you residing and doing business in our town.
Town Hall will be closed Thursday, November 23 for the holiday. If you need to reach us, please call 237-4226 and leave a message. We will return your call as soon as possible when we reopen on Friday, November 24.
Please remember bills are due on the 28th! You may leave your payments in the drop boxes located to the left of the front door in the front of Town Hall or at the bottom right corner of the drive-through window at the rear of Town Hall. Don’t forget we also offer online payments as well through our website.
Trash services will be picked up on their regular schedule on Thursday (although there may be a delay in the service) so please put your bins by the road on Wednesday night.

Veteran's Day and Town Hall Hours

Heidelberg Materials, along with the Town of Sims, is sponsoring a free Pumpkin Giveaway for our residents and business owners this Saturday, October 28 from 10am to 4pm at Sims Community Park (6215 Broad Street). Come out and join us to see a Volvo L250 Front End Loader and get a free pumpkin!

3rd Annual Sims Community Park Celebration
The Town of Sims will be hosting our 3rd Annual Sims Community Park Celebration on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 10am to 4pm at the Sims Community Park! We will have an all-day DJ/Emcee, Ms. Louie “The Diva” Bowen, as well as multiple vendors, food trucks, bouncy houses and an obstacle course for the kids, face painting, fairy hair, icy refreshments, food trucks, and so much more! We are still taking applications for anyone interested in hosting a booth at the event for sales or information distribution. Please complete the application form and registration form, and submit with either a check or cash payment of $30 to Town Hall, by September 22. We will notify all vendors of their application approval soon after August 31. If, for any reason, your application is denied, your $30 registration fee will be refunded. Applications and registration forms may also be picked up at the Town Hall during regular business hours. Please call us at 252-237-4226 if you have any questions.
